Dave is one half of Bar Brother. Originally hailing from Manchester, UK, Dave moved to Cornwall at a very early age and quickly discovered his love of food and drink - mainly cider and pasties!!

His passion for the service industry came at the age of 16, working in a hotel across every possible function apart from Chef, an interest that came a bit later in life. Having left Cornwall to go to University, and then work in London for 4 years in the IT industry, Dave then moved to Amsterdam in 2016, continuing to grow his career in a Software company.

Meanwhile, Dave met the other half of Bar Brother, Liam, and they quickly forged a strong bond over cooking Roast Dinners together - where every year they would cook the "Expat Christmas Dinner" for 25 of their friends. After many drunken conversations in the pub promising to do this kind of thing for real one day, they started their own Delivery and Takeaway business. Once or twice a month, they would sell 'finish at home' roast dinners to people all over Amsterdam, sometimes knocking out as many as 50 from a small home kitchen!

This then grew into leaving the corporate world behind, and following the dream of opening a pub/restaurant - which they now do! You can find them at Bar Brother on the Kinkerstraat, open 6 days a week.
